Robert A Snyder, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of Humboldt State University, overseeing the academic affairs of the individual colleges, the faculty, the Library, Information Technology Services, and the curriculum.

Academic Affairs' Current Events

Nominations for the 2008-2009 Outstanding Professor Award are currently being solicited and are due October 30, 2008 to the Academic Senate Office. The award for Outstanding Professor is announced in January and a dinner is held in April to honor the recipient.

Academic Program Prioritization is currently in progress. Departmental and Program reports are due to the task force on October 10, 2008. Training for the reviewers will be on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 9:00 am to 1:00pm. There is a 'make-up' training scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2008 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Fall 2008 Convocation was held on August 19, 2008.

Dr. Lori Dengler has been chosen as the 2008 Scholar of the Year. On Monday, September 29, 2008, Dr. Dengler will present a lecture that will be followed by a dinner in her honor. For more information call Research and Graduate Studies at 826.5194.
