Welcome to Academic Affairs at Humboldt State University! I am pleased to introduce you to our three colleges:

• The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
• The College of Natural Resources and Sciences
• The College of Professional Studies

We are also very proud of our University Library, which serves as an outstanding resource for the University and the community.

All of our programs are designed and ready to serve the academic needs of our students and to provide exceptional learning opportunities, both in and outside the classroom. You will find a faculty and staff at Humboldt State University that are dedicated to promoting learning, and to helping our students achieve their educational and professional goals.

As Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, I also work closely with the Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Undergraduate Studies; the Dean of Research, Graduate Studies and International Programs; the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs; and with the Directors of Information Technology Services, Budget and Institutional Data, Extended Education and the Center for Indian Community Development.

Learning to make a difference is a core value at Humboldt State University, and service learning, civic engagement, and social responsibility are incorporated into many of our courses. We also strongly endorse diversity in its many facets, and strive to reflect it in our academic and employment policies and practices.
