Subject:  Fall ‘06 Interdisciplinary Computer Laboratory Changes & Invitation to Orientations

The staff of Academic Computing would like to invite you to preview the upgrades we plan to implement for the Fall 2006 Semester. “On Horizon” workstations have been set up in Gist Hall 218 and will be available in the Faculty Technology Solution Center (SH1) by March 30th. These workstations have been set up with the general software that we expect to install for the fall term. Some software will be updated further as new versions become available prior to the fall term. An updated software list will be distributed as well.

All Interdisciplinary Computing Laboratories will be available in August for orientation and live testing of your assignments and lab equipment. Please contact Academic Computing at x4200 to schedule testing time in any Interdisciplinary Computing Laboratory. A staff member will meet you at the appointed time and location.

In addition, the Faculty Technology Solution Center in Siemens Hall 1 is available for faculty testing of coursework, faculty workshops, as well as providing access to special equipment and software (http://www.humboldt.edu/~ftsc). The FTSC can be scheduled by calling x4200.
