BACKGROUND STATEMENT
For many years the Chancellor's Office has permitted a seven year program review cycle. Humboldt State University, however, has continued to use the traditional five year cycle. After deliberation, the joint UCC-Educational Policies Committee recommended, and the UCC concurred, to change our current policy from the five year cycle to the seven year cycle. The change will allow both more flexibility in the program review process and also ease somewhat the workload burden resulting from the present cycle. The change will be particularly important when the pending processes for non-major review are approved. Therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of Humboldt
State University recommend that the attached
policy on the Program Review cycle be adopted starting Fall 1999.
