Ways of Supporting Humboldt State University

Humboldt State University is recognized for its education and leadership in offering a wide array of programs and activities focused on solving social, economic, and environmental challenges of our day. We are grateful for the generosity of contributors like yourself; students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, community citizens, small and large businesses, corporations and foundations and others. The support you provide elevates the quality of our University and its outstanding students who are engaged in the Humboldt State mission of "learning to make a difference".

Donations of cash are the simplest and most direct way to give to HSU, and they are tax deductible to the extent allowed. Additional ways to give include Planned Gifts, Gifts of Securities, Gifts in Kind, and Gifts of Endowment. Gifts may be given anonymously, or in memory of or in honor of a loved one or a friend. Every gift, no matter what size, makes a difference!

Ways to Give Now

Online

To make an instant gift on our secure website, simply click on the "Give to HSU" button, complete the form, choose the department, scholarship or program you would like your gift to benefit and provide your credit card information. All major cards are accepted. A formal acknowledgment that will serve as a tax receipt will be mailed to you.

By Mail

Make your check or money order out to Humboldt State University, write the department, program or fund that you wish to donate to in the memo line and send the check to:

By Phone

Call our Gift Processing Center at 707.826.4943 between 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. in order to make a donation by phone.

Pledge

To make a pledge to your favorite department, scholarship or program that can be paid off in consecutive installments, please complete the Gift Commitment Form (pdf) or contact University Advancement at 707.826.5101; the other option available to you is to email the document to advance@humboldt.edu.

Matching Gift

Many companies will match your gift, or even double it. Contact the Human Resources or Employee Benefits Office at your company to discover if they offer a matching gift program. Send the completed form to:  Office of University Advancement, Humboldt State University, 1 Harpst Street, Arcata CA 95521.
