DEGREE AUDIT FOR STUDENTS (DARS)

The Degree Audit for Students (DARS) is a comprehensive academic audit that matches a student’s academic history with his/her degree requirements.

DARS reports are available for undergraduates who entered HSU in fall 2003 or later. Some of these students have partial audits that monitors all-university requirement (units, GE, DCG, etc.) but does not encompass major requirements.

In the following majors, full audits are available:

Biology (all options)
Botany
Business (all options)
English (all options)
Environmental Resources Engineering
Environmental Science (all options)
Fisheries (all options)
Forestry (all options)

Journalism (all options)
Kinesiology/Physical Education
Native American Studies (all options)

Philosophy

Wildlife (all options)
Zoology

More major programs are being added to this list with the goal of having all majors and minors available for full audits.

The DARS report is a great advising tool. It’s available to students and to advisors via the web 24/7, and it’s always current.

You can access your advisee’s degree audit by taking the following steps:

choose WebReg from Quick Links menu

enter your HSU ID and PIN, submit

select Faculty and Advisors from menu

select Faculty and Advisors Student form menu

select DARSWeb

click on Submit an Audit

Select the current term and Submit Term

Enter student ID (if you don’t have student’s ID, refer to instructions below for searching for student IDs*)

Choose View submitted audit

Click on student’s program to view audit

To print, select click here for a printer friendly PDF version at top of audit

Review the audit with the student. If you and your advisee think the audit is not accurate, contact the AIR Center, x 4101. Ask for a transfer/graduation counselor.
