Advising Appointments

The Advising Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We have walk-in counseling during all open hours. Walk-in consultations are best for questions or topics that you think can be covered in 10-15 minutes.

For major exploration advising, it’s best to schedule a full appointment. You can do so by calling 707.826.5224 during our open hours, email: advise@humboldt.edu or by stopping by SBS 295. We can usually set up an appointment for the following day, and sometimes even for the same day.

If you are officially an “undeclared” student chances are your official advisor is one of the Advising Center advisors, and in that case we’ll arrange for your appointment to be with your advisor. If you have already declared a major, but are thinking of changing, any of the Advising Center advisors can see you.
