These notes concern majors, subjects, or departmental changes which may affect the reporting of enrollment statistics. The creation or elimination of programs may be apparent in mutli-year data presentations.

PROGRAM/AJOR CHANGES:

Fall 1992,  the coding for credential and Teacher prep students was changed
Fall 95: New major -- Native American Studies
Spring 96: New major -- Environmental Science
Admin Services - Prelim Credential, and Admin Services - Prof Clear Credential operate on alternating year cycles.
Fall 1999: Grad program students previously coded the same as undergraduates, broken out to new major codes.
Fall 2002: Speech Communication changed to Communication

 

SUBJECT/COURSE CHANGES

Fall 1997: Learning Handicapped (LH) subject area renamed to Special Education (SPED)
Spring 1998: Added NRS FTES and FTEF to ENVS since NRS only existed 1 term.
Fall 1998: TPMS changed to EED, TPSS changed to SED
Fall 1998: Journalism (JN) changed to Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC)
Spring 1999: LSMS (Liberal Studies Multiple Subjects) courses changed to LSEE (Liberal Studies Elementary Ed)
Fall 1999: New subject area – American Indian Education (AIE)
Fall 1999: Subject areas ACCT, FIN, MGMT, MKT, and QM collapsed into BA (Business Administration)
Fall 2001: Speech Communication (SC) renamed to Communication (COMM)
Fall 2001: New subject area – Leadership Studies (LEAD)
Fall 2002: New subject area – International Studies (INTL)
AY 02/03 Modern Languages (ML) renamed to World Languages and Cultures (WLC)

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE CHANGES

COLLEGE MERGER -The college of Behavioral & Social Sciences merged with the college of Arts & Humanities at the start of the 1997/98 academic year. Where possible, historical data has been recompiled along the current college configuration.
