Joan
Van Duzer, MS Ed., works as an instructional technologist at
Humboldt State University where she assists faculty with instructional
design in the development of high-quality online courses. Joan is an
experienced online facilitator of professional development workshops
for faculty and staff and has taught face-to-face workshops part-time.
She holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and a M.S. in Education
(2002) with a specialization in Online Teaching and Learning. joan@humboldt.edu
Bonnie
Correia, MS Ed., is an adjunct faculty member at Governors
State University in Illinois and has taught online courses for three
years at both the graduate and undergraduate level. She is the recipient
of the 2006 WebCT Exemplary Course award for the course she teaches
entitled Introduction to Online Learning.
Along with teaching, Bonnie is an Educational Technology Consultant for California State University, East Bay where she works directly with faculty in the development of online courses and web enhanced instruction. Her activities include presenting workshops on pedagogical strategies for online instruction as well as consulting on the use of the Blackboard Learning Management system for course delivery.

Cynthia
Gautreau, M.A., is currently completing a doctoral degree in
curriculum and instruction in higher education. Her current research
focuses on technology integration in higher education, faculty motivation
factors, instructional design, and education technology. Her education
background includes a Master of Education in Education Technology and
Multimedia, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a
Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies.
She attended and presented at the CATS conference in 2005. Presently, she is an Academic Technology Consultant at California State University, Fullerton where she is responsible for designing, developing, delivering faculty workshops. cgautreau@fullerton.edu
Tonia
Malone has been an Instructional Designer at Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo for since 1996 where she has worn many hats: she teaches multiple
workshops on effective teaching and learning with technology, has been
a Blackboard Administrator, taught in the Art department, and is currently
playing a key role in the Hybrid Course Pilot project at Cal Poly.
She holds a B.S. in Graphic Communications (1994), a Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning (2000), and is finishing a M.S. in Education (2007) with a specialization in Online Teaching and Learning. tmalone@calpoly.edu
Kathy
Munoz, Ed.D., is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology
and Recreation Administration at Humboldt State University where she
teaches nutrition and health related courses to undergraduate kinesiology
majors, and graduate level research to Master of Science in kinesiology
students. Kathy is a very skillful online facilitator. In 2005, her
first online course, developed with Joan Van Duzer, won Blackboard’s
prestigious Bbionic Course Contest.
For the past 25 years, Kathy has participated in health and nutrition related research which has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She holds a M.S in Foods and Nutrition from Oregon State University, and an Ed.D. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum Design from University of Southern California. kdm1@humboldt.edu
Carole
Robinson, Ed.D., has worked in curriculum development and instructional
capacities with university, community college, museum, and secondary
educational institutions in California and Montana for 21 years. She
completed a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction (with an Instructional
Technology emphasis) at the University of Montana, Missoula. While in
Missoula, Carole was appointed the first University of Montana Director
of Online Education launching the pilot program in November of 1999.
Currently as Instructional Media Producer for Pasadena City College, Carole provides instructional design and pedagogical support, development strategies, and instructional materials pertinent to evolving information technologies in online curriculum delivery. csrobinson@pasadena.edu
Margaret
Merrick Scheffelin, Ph.D., has over 30 years of experience
in project and program evaluation; in consulting on measurement of human
performance; in teaching children and adults at levels ranging from
pre-school through graduate school; Fulbright Research Professor to
the University of Hamburg; currently the Community Representative on
the University Committee for Persons with Disabilities, Sacramento State
