Part-Time Faculty Pool Opportunities
Part-Time Applicant Pool Recruitment Process:
Departments with available courses maintain year-long pools, adding applications as they are received. All applications of qualified faculty received as of the term cut-off date will be considered. The primary review and ranking of applications for each academic year occurs for the fall semester openings. To be given full consideration, applicants should submit their materials by the cut-off date for fall semester. Applications received after the cut-off date may be considered if a course assignment is still available.
Departments list courses they believe will be available for assignment to temporary faculty. However, due to contractual obligations to on-going temporary faculty, not all courses listed may be “open.” Although courses may already be assigned, there are times when openings unexpectedly occur due to leaves, resignations, release time projects and other unanticipated events. All interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their applications to the department pool.
Below each course (or each group of courses) is listed the minimum qualifications required to teach the course(s). At the bottom of each course list is information regarding the application process. In general, departments request a letter of application, a vita or resume, and any evaluative materials that may be available. Some departments also specify additional requirements. If you have questions, please contact the department directly. Departmental contact information is listed at the bottom of each course list.
