I will be teaching art in the near future. My goal is to teach high school art. I enjoy nearly every type of creative art practice. One thing I hear from fellow students I've observed in the classroom is, "I can't draw, I can't paint," or, "I don't have any art skills."
Well that's not true. Everyone has creative talent. It's just a matter of recognizing and using it, whether it's drawing, painting, design, or even cooking. Almost every activity has creative potential. I want to teach students to recognize what they enjoy and to never stop doing it.
