Professors can e-mail bbsos@humboldt.edu for help. Instructors may also visit the Courseware Development Center on the third floor of the library, or call us at 826-3633.
My students can't get into my course, or My students don't have a link to my course on their "My Institution" page.
Your course is probably set as "Unavailable to Students". See below.
Why is my course "Unavailable", and how do I make it available?
When Blackboard courses are created, the default setting makes them unavailable to students. This allows you to post and organize course content before students have access to the information. You will need to make your courses available to students before they are able to view any of your course content.
To make your courses available to students:
- In the Control Panel, under Course Options, click Course Settings
- Click the link for Course Availability
- Choose Yes, and click Submit
How do I know who has completed a survey and see the overall results?
You can view who has completed a survey by going into the online gradebook. Choose the Report by Item option and select the Grades button next to the survey. When students have completed the survey, they will have a checkmark in the grade spot. On this same page, there is also a link titled Detailed Analysis. This link will summarize all of the responses given.
