A Nationally Recognized Biology Program
Because students in our department enjoy small class sizes, individual attention, and a wide variety of opportunities to gain valuable research experience, our department is recognized by many national organizations for the outstanding preparation of our students. Our preeminent programs include the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Program, Redwood Science Project, Northcoast Mathematics and Science Initiative, and the National Science Foundation summer REU program.
