Synchronize and set multiple passwords
Use the web utility at https://www.humboldt.edu/pls/banweb/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin to set and synchronize some of your passwords.
-- Note: Changing your password will change the password used by email clients like Eudora and Outlook.
Instructions for changing your HSU password
- Login to WebReg (you will need your HSU ID number and your WebReg PIN to do this)
- Click on ELECTRONIC/EMAIL SERVICES then the Verify/Change HSU User Name Password link
- Agree to the Use Policy (you must agree to this every time you change your password.
- Scroll down to the “Set Your Password” section of the page
- Enter your new password, then re-enter it
- Click “Set Password” button
The change will affect the following HSU systems:
Email (axe), Web (sorrel), Instructional Unix Server (Redwood), Moodle, Blackboard, Library Proxy server (Inter-Library Loan), Wireless Access, Academic Computing Labs, Oracle Databases: Delta, Iota
Be ready to set a "complex" password.
Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters long, not be more than 30 characters long., not contain your first or last name, and not contain your HSU User Name.
Passwords must contain all three of the following:
- at least one alpha character (a-z upper or lower case)
- at least one digit 0-9
- at least one special character. #%*+,-. /:=?\^
- Note: The following characters are NOT supported (which means they should NOT be used in your password)
@[]{}$&;()'"<>!
(We think that last bit looks suspiciously like Beetle Bailey's "Sarge" swearing.)
