JOB DESCRIPTION:

The goal of the Internship Peer Advisors (IPAs) is to inspire other students to
seek internship opportunities. Develop programs, web and print resources, deliver presentations, and meet one-on-one and in groups with peers to orient them to the steps of finding an internship.

Create programs, web, and print materials for your major and field(s) of
interest. Learn visual, written, and verbal skills to market the IPA
program by creating flyers, web pages, handouts, and presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for students who have already had an internship or some other kind of career-related experience. Preference will be given to students who have at least 4 semesters remaining at HSU. Need to have a passion for the value of
internships and how they enhance your experience at HSU. Comfortable
working independently and with others. Desire to work one-on-one with
peers and enjoy speaking in front of groups.

TRAINING:

Will receive training in researching internship resources, resume critiquing, and assessment of student skill.
