This course work develops and refines skills necessary in teaching English as a second language (in the US, foreign schools, and language institutes).
The requirements for the TESL minor are equivalent to the requirements for the CLAD certificate (Crosscultural Language and Academic Development) recognized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). Take high school or community college courses in English, languages other than English, and ethnic studies.
