The CCAT library holds more than 1000 books, videos and DVDs on Appropriate technology. Our lending library is open to the public during CCAT business hours, Monday through Friday 9-5, and holds more than 800 titles. Books are available to all and may be checked out for three weeks.
The CCAT collection includes how-to guides for organic gardening and permaculture, natural and alternative building, alternative energy and off-the-grid living, rainwater catchment, herbalism and health care, homesteading, canning and preserving, activism, and more. The library also features some of the strongest voices today in the philosophy of sustainability, design, and social change. If you are retrofitting a house, constructing a grey water marsh, starting a compost pile, learning to cook vegetarian, or just want a good read, come to the CCAT library!
