Pick an original scientific article (anything you like) from a peer-reviewed journal. (Original paper means not a review article.)
Read it.
Highlight the hypothesis(es).
Highlight the main results found in the experiment. (This should be just a couple sentences only- not an entire paragraph)
Highlight one main conclusion.
Then write a few questions you may want to ask the author about the paper.
Lastly, write a paragraph or two on your understanding or inferences you can draw from the results, the potential importance of this piece of literature, and whether you enjoyed reading it and why.
Staple the paper and your write-up together and turn in.
