Kai Chu

Dr. Chu has been studying the etymology of Chinese characters and Chinese linguistics since 1963, and working
the ICAI for personalized learning of the Chinese language since 1981. Through his research at U.C.
Berkeley and at HSU, he has conducted a project on a hierarchical system for Chinese orthography with
applications to computers and education.
He is interested in the cognitive aspects of learning to enhance creativity and productivity, and helping the
language teachers in any way he can via the Information Superhighway.
