- Dr. Raoufi attended the conference "National Science Foundation Regional Grants Conference", Portland, Oregon.

- Grant

Department of Applied Technology and the Office for Economics and Community Development at HSU awareded a grant from USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant Award. The The grant has an unmatched award amount of $64,000 and a total budget amount of $143,000. This grant funds the training and development of lean manufacturing and green process improvements for small industry in the rural North Coast of California. The grant will be completed by the end of the summer of 2008. Dr. Raoufi and Dr. Russell will lead the project.
