niwho:n je:nis whima:lyo' (Good day my friend/relative)
My name is Marlette Grant-Jackson, a Yurok Tribal member and the ITEPP CRC Coordinator.  I am very much a local gal.  Born here in Arcata, and raised in the beautiful Hoopa Valley where I attended both elementary and high school.

I came to Humboldt State University, right out of high school in 1986.  I took a break from college to work for the Forest Service and after having my children I decided to return to HSU.  I graduated with a BA in Native American Studies, and a minor in American Indian Education.  In October of 2001 I became the ITEPP CRC Coordinator.
These are my wonderful children.  They have helped me complete my education by being supportive, and very understanding.  I Love them Dearly.
