Introduction to the Internet

Course: CIS 176

Description: Use computers for global communication and exchanging information between distant locations. E-mail, telecommunications, and file transfer methods between mainframe, mini- and microcomputers. Taught on IBM and compatible, UNIX, or Macintosh platforms as delineated in course schedule.

Recommended prerequisite:

Format: Credit/no credit. Two hours lecture, two hours lab for five weeks.
