Computer Architecture

Course: CS 234

Description: A study of the design of computers. Topics include the design of combinatorial and sequential circuits, design methodology of a basic computer, central processor organziation, microprogramming, memory organization, input-output organization, and arithmetic processor design.

Units: 3

Recommended prerequisite: CS 233 or consent of instructor.

Format: Two hours lecture, two hours lab per week.
