Hygrophoropsis aurantiacus

Hygrophoropsis aurantiacus ,the false chanterelle, can be recognized by its Clitocyboid stature, gilled, orange to creamy-yellow hymenophore that is distinctly dichotomously branched near the pileal margin, and white spores. The thin, typically lamellate gill-margins and the dichotomous branching distinguish this species from Cantharellus cibarius.
