Jayne McGuire
Jayne McGuire is an Assistant Professor in the Special Education Credential program at Humboldt State University. She and her family relocated to Humboldt County after she received her PhD from the University of Utah. Her professional experiences have included teaching high school special education, non-profit leadership focused on accessible recreation and community inclusion for people of all abilities, and various roles related to Special Olympics including local, national & international coaching and research. Her current research has focused on self-determination and the impact of recreation programming on people with disabilities. Dr. McGuire enjoys skiing, snowboarding, running and traveling with her family.
