The following is a guide to how your oral presentation will be graded.
1. Analysis (30 points)
The student will explain the article and identify the important issues
(in other words, why should we care about this article?). The student
will give her opinion, where appropriate, on the article's assumptions/policy
recommendations/etc. (Is there anything wrong with the article? Do
you disagree with the article?)
2. Presentation (30 points)
The student will present clearly and in an engaging manner. Handouts,
overheads, or other teaching aids are encouraged. The student will
answer questions about the article in a competent manner.
3. Relevance (15 points)
The student will relate the article to concepts learned (or to be learned)
in class. Models and notation from the class and text should be used
wherever possibleto help explain the article.
