The GWPE (Graduation Writing Proficiency Examination) registration deadlines and examination dates for 2007-2008 are listed below. The GWPE is normally administered once during the Fall semester and twice during the Spring semester. Registration is at the Testing Center, House 71 (on the north side of the Library circle), 826-3611. Fees are paid at the Student Financial Services office (formerly Casher's Office) and registration forms are available there as well.

FALL SEMESTER, 2007:
Registration deadline: Thursday, October 4
Examination date: Saturday, October 20

SPRING SEMESTER, 2008:
Registration deadline: Thursday, February 7
Examination date: Saturday, February 23

Registration deadline: Thursday, April 3
Examination date: Saturday, April 19

The GWPE fees for 2007-2008 are as follows:
Regular examination: $20.00
Additional late registration fee (assessed by the Testing Center): $5.00
Additional alternate test date proctoring fee for failure to meet administrative deadline (administered by the Testing Center): $5.00
Special examination off-campus fee ($25.00 exam fee plus $5.00 postage and handling fee): $30.00

(Please note that these additional fees for special examinations do not apply to disabled students taking the GWPE under special conditions.)
