The principal species are Coho and Chinook Salmon, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, and White Sturgeon, with other species being Sacramento Blackfish, Steelhead, and Mosquito Fish. The project has an annual average of 2000-9000 salmon smolts to Arcata Bay, 2000-5000 rainbow trout for the Klopp Lake Fishery (the picture on the right), 1000-20,000 coastal cutthroat for local creeks and lagoons.
