Accreditation

Accreditation is a non-governmental, peer-reviewed means of ensuring thatuniversities and departments provide high quality education that meets thestandards of engineering community. The Environmental Resources EngineeringDepartment at Humboldt State University is accredited by the AccreditationBoard of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

ABET Accreditation

In accordance with ABET requirements, the ERE department participates in an ongoing, four-step self evaluation process. In the context of this process, the department has:

  1. Educational objectives that are consistent with the mission statement of the department.
  2. A process to periodically update and evaluate the objectives. The department faculty determine the objectives with input from the External Advisory Committee
  3. Conducted periodic assessments to determine if we have met the statedobjectives,
  4. Utilized assessments to fine tuned the ERE curriculum ensuring that ourgraduates are able to meet the program's objectives.
