Each spring the department awards students for the outstandingachievement. Award winners are recognized at a department celebration andat a local ASCE chapter meeting.
Karen Wetherow is recognized as the 2008 Al Burrows Scholarship and 2008 Landau Associates Award winner. Bob Tingleff receives the 2006 Roscoe-Schenler Award.
One or two graduating ERE students are selected each year for a combination of demonstrated best academic achievement and best professional potential in Environmental Resources Engineering.
Awarded in honor of two former HSU Engineering professors: Jim Roscoe and Bill Schenler. One or two Sophomore/Junior ERE students each year are recognized for outstanding potential in Environmental Resources Engineering. Award amount varies depending on interest rates ($500-$1000).
Awarded in honor of former HSU Environmental Resources Engineering professor: Homer Arnold. One or two ERE students each year are recognized for demonstrated outstanding achievement in applied Environmental Resources Engineering. Award amount varies depending on interest rates ($500 - $1000).
Awarded to one or two sophomore/junior ERE students each year fordemonstrated leadership in the ERE department or through ERESA, SWE, EWB or RESU chapter activities. Award amount is $500 total.
Awarded once a semester to a randomly chosen ERE student who has passed thermodynamics (ENGR 331). This award is worth $500.
Awarded to one or two ERE students each year that are nominated by their peers for demonstrated teamwork, passion and leadership in Environmental Resources Engineering. Award amount is $500 total.
The Robert W Campbell Sr. Scholarship is funded by HSU alumni Robert W. Campbell in honor of his father. One or more scholarships are awarded annually to an engineering or nursing student with financial need. Preference is given to students participating in intercollegiate athletics.
Awarded in honor of former HSU Environmental Resources Engineering professor: Alden Burrows. One each year are recognized for outstanding leadership and academic excellence in Statics and Dynamics. Award amount varies.
