2001 SYMPOSIUM PROCEEDINGS ABOUT VIEWING THE PROCEEDINGS: All files in the online proceedings are Adobe Acrobat .pdf files. Acrobat Reader is required to view these files. See below for information on installing the free Acrobat Reader. If you have Acrobat Reader installed, these are suggested starting files to view the proceedings: Cover artwork: KLAMCOVR.PDF, which links, by clicking anywhere on the page, to the starting page of the introductory section: KLAMINTR.PDF. The Table of Contents is on page 3 of KLAMINTR.PDF and the Index of Titles is on page 28. The Table of Contents and the Index of Titles pages have links to the listed entries. Click on any title or page number to go to that location in the online proceedings. ABOUT INSTALLING ADOBE ACROBAT: Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded, free of charge, from Adobe's Web Site. Select the latest version of Reader (5.0.5 as of April 2002). Choose the Search and Accessibility option. The Search and Accessibility option is not necessary for viewing the files but the Search function does allow for quicker location of topics of interest. Adobe Acrobat .pdf files can be viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape, however Acrobat Reader must be installed on the computer. With Acrobat Reader 5.0.5, the user may control whether to have .pdf files opened through the browser, displayed inside the browser, or to have Reader execute separately. Note: Netscape seem to work more effectively using the Display PDF in Browser option. With Explorer, it does not seem to make any difference. On the Reader 5.0.5 menu bar: If the user wants the file to appear inside the browser, choose Edit > Preferences > General > Options. Enable "Display PDF in Browser" Or If the user wants Reader to execute separately, choose Edit > Preferences > General > Options. Disable "Display PDF in Browser" ABOUT SEARCHING THE ONLINE PROCEEDINGS: For abbreviated Acrobat Reader Search instructions, view the file HOWSEARCH.PDF. For a more in-depth
discussion of Search and other topics, see Acrobat Reader Help.
