1993 Feasibilty Study

The following "Bubble" diagrams were developed during the 1993 Feasibility Study performed by the ADP Sports Group that described a project with over 100,000 assignable square feet. The University spent 10 unsuccessful years trying to secure funding based on the 1993 Feasibility Study due to the fact the enrollment of the University failed to justify the 100 thousand assignable square foot Project; that fact overwhelmed other arguments in favor of the Project.

In 2003 the University had a second Feasibility Study performed that cumulated in funding of the current 82,695 assignable square foot Physical Education Project.

Not all areas shown in the attached Bubble Diagrams are included in the current 82,695 assignable square foot Physical Education Project. For example the current program does not have a separate computer lab although over 60 computers are listed in the Group II Equipment list for faculty offices and in the various Human Performance Laboratories.

In addition not all required relationships are shown in the diagrams. For example access to the lockers is shown in the Natatorium Diagram but Locker Room Diagram fails to show access to the Natatorium.

These Bubble Diagrams have been provided because they can serve as a starting point for thinking about the relationships of the components of the Project we are currently discussing and implementing.
