Who, What, When, Where
All festival events take place in the Van Duzer Theatre on the HSU campus.
MONDAY, March 24: Local Filmmakers Night:
7:00 PM: Screenings of fresh, locally made short films!
WEDNESDAY, March 26: Experimental & Animation Day:
1:00 PM: Judges' Workshop with Ry Russo Young.
She will be showing her short film MARION, a modern twist on Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO, and speaking about experimental film and the super8 medium.
3:00 PM: Screening of Ry Russo Young's unreleased feature film YOU WON'T MISS ME.
This documented portrait follows twenty-three year old misfit Shelly Brown after her release from a psychiatric hospital. Shelly’s journey is funny, riveting and disturbing. This is a special preview of Russo-Young's new film. Her previous feature film ORPHANS won a special jury prize at the 2007 SXSW Film Festival, and continues to screen at film festivals worldwide.
7:00 PM: EXPERIMENTAL & ANIMATION NIGHT
Competitive festival screenings of the finalists in the Experimental and Animation film categories. There will be a 15 minute intermission before the second half of screenings.
THURSDAY, March 27th: Documentary Day
1:00 PM: Judge's Workshop with Joaquin Alvarado.
Award-winning Chicano filmmaker and digital media expert Joaquin Alvarado will be giving a lecture titled "Photonic Cinema: or how Earth can be saved by everyone constantly being entertained."
3:00 PM: Multimedia presentation by Joaquin Alvarado.

7:00 PM: DOCUMENTARY NIGHT
Competitive festival screenings of the finalists in the Documentary film category. There will be a 15 minute intermission before the second half of screenings.
FRIDAY, March 28th: Narrative Day
1:00 PM: Judge's Workshop with Lori Petty.
Lori Petty will be giving a workshop on the creative process, being a first time feature director, and being a woman director in Hollywood, followed by a Q & A session.
3:00 PM: Preview of scenes from THE POKER HOUSE by Lori Petty, plus Q & A.
This will be a special preview of the unreleased film THE POKER HOUSE. Directed by Lori Petty, it is set in 1976 and stars Petty, Selma Blair & David Alan Grier.
7:00 PM: NARRATIVE NIGHT
Competitive festival screenings of the finalists in the Narrative (fiction) film category. There will be a 15 minute intermission before the second half of screenings.
SATURDAY, March 29th: Best of the Fest
7:00 PM:BEST OF THE FEST NIGHT, emceed by Lori Petty
The judge's picks for best film in the Experimental, Animation, Documentary, and Narrative categories will be screened again, as well as the Audience Choice Award winner. Winners will be announced by emcee Lori Petty.
