42nd Co-directors

Evan Wrye, Co-director

Evan Wrye

Born and raised in Humboldt County, Evan Wrye has dedicated his life to everything cinematic. He has created over a dozen short films, some of which have appeared in festivals throughout California. He is currently working on more short films, music videos, TV commercials, and multiple feature-length scripts. When he's not working, he likes to sleep and eat. Writing in the third person makes Evan feel uncomfortable. Check out some of his movies at LostFrames.com.

Joshua Nelson, Co-director

Joshua Nelson

Joshua D. Nelson has always had an avid passion for film, inspired by his father's support at a very young age. It wasn't until college, however, that Joshua took filmmaking seriously and made it his career path instead of pursuing his interest in becoming a veterinarian. Now Joshua is an independent writer, producer, and director with several projects in post-production, including the dramatic short Pier 41 (Writer-Director) and the feature length comedy The Making Of (Producer). Joshua is currently writing a pilot for an independent television show.

Aimee Hennessy, Co-director

Aimee Hennessy

Aimee Hennessy enjoys the really dreadful Godard films that most people hate. Recently she wrote and co-starred in a "feature-length advertisement for a fictional energy drink" called Übergetränk, which is in post-production. She has also appeared in Don't Forget to Chase the Horses. Her writing has appeared in McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Learning to Love You More, and Panache Magazine. She is currently editing a trailer for the American DVD release of a classic anime.

All share a passion for film, and all come prepared to appreciate the wide range of films submitted to the festival.
