Forest Resource Conservation

This option is usually favored by those wishing a career in non-commodity forest management or a career not directly associated with more traditional forestry. Students who complete this curriculum qualify as a forester on the Federal Register. Typical coursework in this option includes:

• Forest ecology
• Forest remote sensing
• Geographic information systems
• Natural resource economics
• Natural resource management in parks, and
• Wilderness management
