Geology 550 Fluvial Datasets and
Plots
The datasets are either Excel 5.0 spreadsheets or tab-delimited
ASCII textfiles. The Excel files require Excel 5.0 or later; the
textfiles can be read by nearly any program. Before you use any
datafiles, look at the column headers to see what data is in
each column. Some programs or macros may require that the column
headers be removed before importing the file.
The plots are mostly in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. You will need
the Adobe Acrobat reader or browser plug-in to view them. You can
obtain it for free from this link: Acrobat
Reader.

- This data was collected in the vicinity of the Brookwood
covered bridge on Jacoby Creek, Humboldt Co., CA , by students in
HSU Geology 531 and 550 classes, and by Andre Lehre and Randy
Klein. The forced meander begins about 180 ft upstream of the
bridge and extends to 350 ft upstream.
