Research Interests
My interests range from convergent margin tectonics to microscopic scale deformation in active fault zones. I am currently working on two main research projects. The first is a study of structures, particularly microstructures, formed by active faulting in near-surface sediments (the photo above shows one study site - the 1906 earthquake rupture of the San Andreas Fault at Alder Creek, CA). The second is the geologic evolution of the Klamath Mountains province of northern California and southern Oregon.
