The California Pre-Doctoral Program is designed to increase the diversity of the pool from which the CSU draws its faculty. It does so by supporting the doctoral aspirations of CSU students who have experienced economic and educational disadvantages. Applicants must be upper-division or master's degree students who are enrolled at a CSU institution Spring prior to application and plan to be enrolled full time the following academic year.

The fellowship offers $10K per year for 2 years to a top incoming graduate student in the Energy, Environment, and Society or Environmental Resources Engineering masters programs

Environmental Fellowship Program
Fellowships are offered only to students who are enrolled in graduate programs in California with an academic focus in an environmental field. Candidates are chosen not only for their excellence in academic & scientific work, but also on their true dedication to aggressively pursue practical solutions to environmental problems. The Fellowships are not restricted to a specific field, but a good foundation in basic sciences is considered a plus. Past Fellows have studied in a range of fields including natural resources management, public policy, environmental law, architecture and journalism as well as in more traditional areas of chemistry, biology and engineering.

Undergraduate Scholarship
Applicants must, be sophomores or juniors, pursuing a bachelor's or associate's degree, have a grade-point average of at lease a "B", be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident, be committed to a career related to the environment, OR committed to a career in tribal public policy or Native American health care (only Native Americans and Alaska Natives are eligible to apply in tribal public policy or Native American health care).
