Interview Guidelines

  1. Find out exactly where the interview is.
  2. Have the name, phone number, and address of the person you are interviewing with you.
  3. Arrive 10 minutes early.
  4. Bring your questions.
  5. Consider tape recording the interview.
  6. Jot down any key words or take quick notes if you are not taping the interview.
  7. Limit the interview to 20-30 minutes.
  8. At the end of the interview say thank you.
  9. Write out your annotated bibliography soon after the interview, while the information is fresh.
  10. Thank any adult that helped transport you to your interview.
  11. Write a thank you note to the person you interviewed (be sure to get the correct spelling of their name and address).
