History Day - Performances

Performance Category

A performance is a dramatic portrayal of your topic's significance in history and must be original in production.

Checklist

Registration Fee ($10.00) and papers mailed by deadline, January 15, 2001.
Ten minute maximum for performance.
Maximum 5 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to take down.
Three copies (plus one for you) of written materials.
Title page includes your title, your name, your division (Junior/Senior), and category (Performance).
Annotated bibliography, separated into primary and secondary sources.
Performance must address the theme.
All props and equipment supplied by student(s).
Only one student entrant runs equipment and are involved in the performance.
Be prepared to answer judges questions at the contest. (Remember that formal narratives are not appropriate response to questions.)
