Four meal plans are offered—Green, Gold, Humboldt and Mini. A detailed explanation of the dining plans can be found in the dining website under meal plans. A resident of Redwood, Sunset, Cypress or Canyon must purchase one of the full meal plans (Green, Gold or Humboldt). The table above lists the combined room and board price.
There are annual, semester, monthly or financial aid payment plans.

- Initial Distribution of License Packets for the 2009-2010 Academic Year. Initial distribution of license packets to all new students who applied for housing and have been admitted to the university for the 2009-2010 academic year. If you have not been admitted yet, license materials are sent to newly admitted students weekly after the initial distribution.

- April 10, 2009
- First Round of Room Assignments Deadline. Deadline to submit license materials and initial payment for first run of fall room assignments. Room assignments and payment plans will be emailed in late May. Licenses returned after April 10 will be processed in July and room assignments and payment plans will be emailed in July and early August.

- First Round of Assignments Emailed. Room assignment and payment plan emailed to those who returned their license and initial payment before the April 10 deadline. If all spaces have been reserved, the student will be notified of placement on a waiting list. Students are not guaranteed a space in the residence halls until a guarantee of assignment or a room assignment email is received.

- Guarantee of assignment or wait list notices sent for those returning their license and initial payment after the April 10 deadline. A guarantee of assignment notice is for students who have submitted their license materials and initial payment and indicates a space in the residence halls is reserved for them for the academic year. If all spaces have been reserved, the student will be notified of placement on a waiting list. Students are not guaranteed a space in the residence halls until a guarantee of assignment or a room assignment letter is received.

- Last day to Cancel License for Fall 2009 and Provide 30 Days Notice. All license cancellations will be charged the license cancellation fee of $200. Please note that the Housing Office must receive such requests in writing or by email to housing@humboldt.edu by July 18, 2009. Cancellations to any other university office does not satisfy the requirement to notify the Housing Office directly.

- August 17, 2009
- Last Day to Cancel License with the License Cancellation Fee and Penalties. After August 17, students are responsible for the entire license fee period. See the Housing License for more detail.
- August 18, 2009
- Residence Halls Open for 2009-2010 Residents. Check-in begins at 9am at the 1st floor of the Jolly Giant Commons.

- Last day to Reduce Meal Plan for the Fall Semester. Please stop by the Housing Cashier window to reduce your meal plan. The next opportunity to reduce your plan will be Winter Break.
