Four meal plans are offered—Green, Gold, Humboldt and Mini. A detailed explanation of the dining plans can be found in the dining website under meal plans. A resident of Redwood, Sunset, Cypress or Canyon must purchase one of the full meal plans (Green, Gold or Humboldt). The table above lists the combined room and board price.
There are annual, semester, monthly or financial aid payment plans.

- Initial Distribution of License Packets for the Spring 2010 Semester. All new students applying for housing in Spring 2010 that have been admitted to HSU will be emailed a link to our online license. If you have not been admitted yet, we will email license materials to newly admitted students weekly after the initial distribution.

- Room Assignments Emailed to New Spring 2010 Residents. Room assignments will be emailed to all students that submitted license materials and initial payments for the Spring 2010 semester. If all spaces are reserved, students will be notified of placement on a waiting list. Students are not guaranteed a space in the residence halls until a guarantee of assignment or a room assignment email has been received.

- Last day for New Spring Residents to Cancel License Without Prorated Penalties. All license cancellations will be charged the license cancellation fee of $200. Please note that the Housing Office must receive such requests in writing or by email to housing@humboldt.edu by January 2, 2010. Cancellations to any other university office does not satisfy the requirement to notify the Housing Office directly.

- Payment Due for New Spring Residents with Semester and Monthly Payment Plans. Amounts will vary according to room assignment and meal plan selected. Refer to your payment plan sent with your room assignment for your specific payment amounts and payment dates. Please see the Current Resident Rates and Dates for further payment date reminders.
- January 11, 2010
- Last Day for New Spring Residents to Cancel License with the License Cancellation Fee and Penalties. After January 11, students are responsible for the entire license fee period. See the Housing License for more detail.
- January 12, 2010
- Residence Halls Open for New Spring 2010 Residents. Check-in begins at 9am. The J Dining Commons reopens for the Spring Semester.
- January 29, 2010
- Last Day to Reduce Meal Plan for Spring Semester. Please stop by the Housing Cashier window to reduce your meal plan by this date.

Initial distribution of license packets to all new students who applied for housing and have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the 2010-2011 academic year. If you have not yet been admitted, license materials are emailed weekly to newly admitted students after the initial distribution.

- Priority Deadline for Housing Assignments. Deadline to submit license materials and initial payment for first run of fall room assignments. Room assignments and payment plans or wait list notifications will be emailed in late May. Licenses submitted after April 16 will be processed in July and room assignments and payment plans will be emailed in July and early August.

Students are not guaranteed a space in the residence halls until a guarantee of assignment or a room assignment letter is received.
