When considering careers, a good place to start is to know what types of careers are suited to your personality. Some of the sites listed below start with a group of questions that will determine an interest to start a search for a career area. Many of the career sites listed below have questions that will help determine a career area in which you might be interested. Career areas have many different types of jobs. Some sites will connect you further with careers in which you show an interest and will list the different types of jobs found within that area.

Career Zone California - Reality Check

This site offers three options. The first allows you to choose how much money you will spend per month on your living expenses, car, food, rent... and calculates how much you will need to make per year to support that lifestyle. The second lets you choose a salary you would like to earn and shows jobs that will provide that income. The third allows you to select a career and it will tell you how much your salary will be in that career.

The College Board

This Career Search has information about jobs and careers. If you already know what you want to do, you can browse the list of Career Categories or complete the questionnaire to determine an interesting field to explore.
