Beautiful drawings of various generic plains Indian and tribes accompany the supposed speech of the Suquamish/Duwamish "Chief" Seathl. Susan Jeffers created a wonderful artististic picture of the mystical, land loving, extinct Natives American Indians in her artwork. With pictures of ghostly Indians the book perpetuates the "vanishing or vanished" Indian stereotype, as well as the Hollywood stereotype that all Indians where feather headresses and converse with nature.
