ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Must be an active member of the Indian Teacher & Educational Personnel Program (ITEPP) at Humboldt State University full-time pursuing a baccalaureate, master’s degree or credential.
  • Academic Merit:  Minimum cumulative GPA required by academic program.
  • Must be an enrolled member or descendant of a tribal entity recognized and eligible for funding and services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs by virtue of their status as Indian tribes and must provide documentation as specified in application.
  • Must demonstrate potential for leadership in Indian education.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Entering freshman or continuing undergraduate student at Humboldt State University
  • Academic Merit:  Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Financial Need (All scholarship applicants must have filed a FAFSA)
  • Must be of Yurok descent in any one of the following tribes and must provide documentation as specified in application:
    • Yurok Tribe, Big Lagoon Rancheria, Blue Lake Rancheria, Trinidad Rancheria, Resighini Rancheria

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Must be an active member of the Indian Teacher & Educational Personnel Program at Humboldt State University full-time pursuing a baccalaureate, master’s degree or credential in one of the following education programs:  education, liberal studies/elementary education, liberal studies child development elementary education, elementary education, secondary education, special education, administrative services, or an education option within a subject area, e.g., art, business administration, biology, physical education, English, French, geology, German, industrial technology, kinesiology, mathematics, Spanish, social science.
  • Academic Merit:  Minimum cumulative GPA required by academic program.
  • Financial Need (All scholarship applicants must have filed a FAFSA)
  • Must be an enrolled member or descendent of a tribal entity recognized and eligible for funding and services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs by virtue of their status as Indian tribes and must provide documentation as specified in application.
  • Consideration for preference will be given to the following candidates:
      • Tribal members or descendants of the following California tribes:  Hoopa Valley, Yurok and Karuk.
      • Students in credential programs, esp. with fieldwork placement in the Klamath-Trinity area.
