He:yung! I'm the student services coordinator at ITEPP. I am a Hoopa Tribal member. The Hoopa Valley is located approximately 60 miles east of Humboldt State University.

My higher education journey took over 24 years. There were some long periods between achievements, which I have found is not uncommon. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Teaching in 1989, and finished my Master's of Science degree in Environmental Systems, Mathematical Modeling Option, in 1995.

I am finding that I am always engaged in some kind of learning activity. This is as it should be, although I can't always say that I have appreciated this while the learning was happening.

I have been the student services coordinator for the past 10 years. As the coordinator I am responsible for recruiting and retention services. As a recruiter for ITEPP I spend some time traveling to various Indian Centers, Tribal Education Departments, high schools and community colleges throughout California.

The majority of my time is spent with ITEPP students, doing academic advising, computer training and assisting them in any other academically related area.
