President's Decisions on Strategic Enrollment Effort and Noel-Levitz Recommendations
January 27, 2006
To: Faculty and Staff
The Strategic Enrollment Effort (SEE) Advisory Committee members made a number of important recommendations to me in their October 2005 report. They cited some “Core Principles” which I reiterate below and fully support.
- Accountability and assigned responsibility with the necessary authority to be effective, including budget and oversight – regardless of the recommendation area – are critical to the success of our strategic enrollment efforts.
- Actions taken in recruitment and retention must support and enhance the goal of increased diversity for the campus.
- As resources are reallocated, nothing should be done that will further erode the quality of academic instruction since it is central to our mission and ultimate success.
