VoIP & Wireless Presentations

Friends:
Several visitors from the Chancellor's Office, CSU Monterey Bay and
CSU Northridge will be on our campus October 28 to consult with us on
information technology issues. You are invited to attend a
presentation followed by a Q&A from 9-10:15 am in the Goodwin Forum.
Mark Crase, senior director of Technology Infrastructure Services,
and Kendra Ard, director of the Infrastructure Terminal Resources
Project, both from the Chancellor's Office, will be making a general
presentation on VoIP and wireless technologies. Gil Gonzales, chief
information officer from CSU Monterey Bay, will discuss his
experience with the implementation of a campus-wide wireless network.
Greg Nicols, director of Computing and Technology Services from CSU
Northridge, will tell us about his experience completing a VoIP
conversion on his campus.
Please join me for this excellent opportunity to learn about the pros
and cons of these technologies and about the valuable lessons that
were learned by our colleagues.
