Re: HSU Sustainable Campus Summit
Dear Campus Community,
I would like to invite you all to join me in an evening discussion on "Defining our Vision for HSU as a Sustainable Campus."
The HSU Sustainable Campus Summit will be held this Thursday, December 2, from 5-8 pm in the Kate Buchanan Room and will consist of presentations by Bob Schulz, Director of Facilities Management, Alec Cooley, Solid Waste and Recycling Manager, the Co-Directors of our Campus Center for Appropriate Technology, and myself, HSU President. We will follow these presentations with a discussion on the keys to success as we strive for academic excellence and sustainable campus operations.
It is clear that HSU is already a leader in environment and social responsibility. This is true due to the incredible self-motivation and initiative of the individuals and programs on our campus. I believe that this simple step of coming together and discussing what we are currently doing, and defining our vision for campus sustainability will provide the synergy we need to move us forward as being the premier institution for learning to make a positive difference.
Hope to see you there,
Rollin C. Richmond
