Emergency Preparedness
TO: The Campus Community
As the new semester begins, I am pleased to tell you that the storm which occurred on December 31 resulted in minimal damage to the campus. We were fortunate, especially relative to what the region suffered.
As a precautionary measure, and effective immediately, HSU's information telephone line, 707/826-INFO, is being updated daily by the University Police Department. This procedure will be followed
uniformly, whether the campus is open or closed. It will provide the campus community and the general population with current status reports.
We are reviewing our emergency procedures to ensure that in the future the most effective steps are taken to handle such situations. To make information more accessible to the campus community and the public at large, media advisories and press releases will be issued when emergencies occur.
For any specific questions regarding campus emergency preparedness, management and operations, please call the UPD at 826-5555.
Best wishes for a productive semester.
