Subject: HSU Scholarship and Fee Grant Committee

Charge to the Committee

  • Develop recommended priorities for the use of discretionary scholarship and fee revenue funds available to the University;
  • receive and review proposals for the Presidential Scholarship Program;
  • receive and review procedures for awarding University scholarship funds, including scholarships administered by the Financial Aid Office and HSU Departments;
  • receive and review requests for expending fee revenue available under the provisions of Executive Order 661 and other System policies;
  • prepare recommendations for review and approval by the Executive Committee;
  • prepare reports no less than annually for review by the Executive Committee regarding the effectiveness of the various scholarship and grant programs in meeting University priorities and in complying with donor, local, State and federal procedures.

Membership

  • Three faculty members, one from each College, appointed by the Academic Senate Appointments Committee for two-year terms
  • Dean, Enrollment Management
  • Executive Director, University Advancement
  • Director of Academic Support Programs
  • Director of Athletics
  • Director of Financial Aid (Chair)
  • Student Representative, appointed by the Associated Students for one-year term
